Bio

PJ Culley is an educator and trainer with a passion for creating engaging, student-centered learning environments both in the classroom and online. With a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, a Bachelor’s degree in French History and Literature, and a TEFL certification, PJ combines strong academic preparation with hands-on international teaching experience.

PJ taught in France for two years with American Village, serving as Head Teacher in the second year, where they designed immersive English-language curriculum, mentored new instructors, and led a diverse classroom of students ages 8–15. This experience, paired with over seven years of professional training and mentorship roles in the U.S., has honed PJ’s ability to build inclusive programs that support learners of different backgrounds and skill levels.

In addition to classroom teaching, PJ has led staff development workshops, created training curricula for adults, and managed remote teams of up to 13 people across multiple locations. Their teaching philosophy emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and connection — building confidence in learners while ensuring measurable progress.
